Size Guide

Fit varies by style, so each product page lists the garment measurements for that item, where available. Use this guide to compare them with clothes you already own.

Garment or body measurements?

Unless a product page says otherwise, the measurements on our product pages are garment measurements from the size chart for that style. They describe the piece itself, not your body, and are in inches. If a product page lists body measurements or a size range instead, it says so.

How to measure a piece you own

  • Bust / chest: Lay the piece flat and measure straight across from armpit to armpit, then double it. Compare with the bust or chest measurement on the product page. Where a product page gives chest width instead (for example, our hoodie), compare the flat measurement without doubling it.
  • Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder, beside the collar, to the bottom hem.
  • Shoulder: Measure straight across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
  • Sleeve length: Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Sleeve measurements aren't always taken from the same point. Where a product page says "incl. shoulder", the figure includes the shoulder and will be longer. If a sleeve figure looks long for the style, email us and we'll double-check it for you.

Fit tips

  • Between sizes? Size up for a more relaxed fit, or stay with your usual size for a closer fit.
  • Check the product page for fit notes. For example, the Orbalwear Embroidered Heavyweight Hoodie runs small, and its maker recommends ordering one size larger than usual.
  • Some styles don't have confirmed measurements yet. Their product page says so. Email us before you order and we'll help.

Still unsure? Email support@orbalwear.com with the item you're looking at and we'll help you choose.
